WIP Dilemma

I have been in a bit of a dilemma today.  I want to finish the Ten Stitch by Friday so that I can take it with me to Stamford, BUT whilst at work this morning the sun put in an appearance and by the time I got home I just felt I had to go out into the garden.  I would have felt too guilty to stay in and knit.  Add to the fact that I woke at 5:20 this morning and managed a couple of hours knitting before work, the garden won.

So this is the progress since yesterday on the blanket, the pale blue round finished and the dark blue well on the way.

The garden - this is what I have cleared today - so much rubbish from the Willow tree )-:
It just gets everywhere, long whippy bits which thread themselves through the plants.

Just look at the messy borders, these will be tackled tomorrow, we are promised more sun

But hiding amongst the mess

a promise of puddings to come.........

  1. Your pictures are beautiful! It looks like you are quite the gardener! Do you follow the blog, A Way to Garden? It's very well done and you might enjoy it. Interesting blanket - keep up all the good work!

  2. The blanket is looking great, but I totally understand the "call of the garden." After a long, cold winter it is hard to resist. :-)

  8. I love to see posts about your yard and garden. They are so beautiful! I am a bit envious that flowers are already popping up for you! I love the photo of the Snow Drops (the photo above the 'promise of puddings' line). Is that what you call them too, or do they have a different name?

  10. It all looks great to me! You have spring already. We have about 9 inches of snow on the ground from a big storm on Tuesday. I am ready for spring to arrive! At least the sun is shining today.
