Pretty in pink

What a wonderful weekend we had weather wise, apart from the spot of rain on Saturday afternoon it was wall to wall sunshine - 25C in the shade.  I spent two very pleasant afternoons in the garden with my knitting.  A reward for jobs achieved earlier in the day.

As previously mentioned I didn't sleep well on Sunday night/Monday morning so cast on another Super Natural Stripes.  This colour combination reminds me of ice cream.  I decided to make this one with short sleeves and think it works really well.  I just knitted 4 rows in stocking stitch, then 4 rows garter stitch. This is a great pattern, very quick to do.  I think this will be my "go to" pattern

Someone else enjoyed the sunshine yesterday -

The sunshine has also bought the Wisteria on too, still lots of buds to break, but we are dull/cooler today (good thing as I was at work, nothing worse than being shut in when the sun is out), so it will slow things down.

I still have two WIP's on the go, but neither a doing it for me, so plan to cast on something new, lets face it I have plenty of stash to get through.

  1. The sweater turned out beautifully (and you did it so quickly!). Hope that sun sticks around.

  2. Cute Cardi! It does look ice-creamy, I hope you are sleeping better now :) (perhaps like the cat!)

  3. The color combo in the cardigan is reminiscent of ice cream! After I read it, I couldn't shake the thought of it.
