WIP Wednesday

I decided to pull out my WIP's/UFO's..............I have four, which for me is a lot.............I am actively working on two.

The one I am calling Purple Haze, this has the back finished and the left front started.

Then I have the shawl, which is being knit with my dyed yarn.  I think I have 3 more pattern repeats before this is done.

The other two are hibernating -

Firstly the Frilled Dress, this hasn't been touched since I realised it was knitting up too big.  I still can't decide whether to alter or rip out!

Then there's the Ten Stitch blanket for Laurie, as there is no hurry for this its been left to one side, though I did put a bit of work in it last night.

I am itching to start something new, but will resist until I have at least the first two finished.  I checked out my stash and have plans for some of the yarn.  A short sleeved cardigan for me, a couple of cardigans for new babies, another shawl, I enjoy them and they are a great addition to the wardrobe.  I also want to do some sewing.  I need more time, I need more time.

What are you knitting?  How many WIP's is too many? How big is your stash?  ............One of these days I will post some more stash pictures

Joining up with Yarn Along, Tamis, and Frontier Dreams

  1. Purple Haze is beautiful! I love the frilled dress too. I would have to start again but only because I don't think I would be able to make adjustments successfully :o)

  2. Ah WIPs. The knitters albatross. I finished one of mine last week and it felt so good. I still have a baby sweater that I started over a year ago and a blanket that is 3/4 done in the waiting basket. As you say... time. Need more time. :)

    1. I often think if I didn't spend so much time on Ravelry and the like I'd get more done!

  3. Wonderful projects! I, too, have many going right now and have to resist the urge to cast on any new ones! The nice thing is to be able to pick up what suits the mood, right? :) Blessings, ~Lisa

  4. Oh that purple is really lovely. I can't wait to see the finished product. I like the frilly skirt so I hope you can salvage it. I keep looking at that 10 stitch blanket on Rav and keep pushing it way back into the queue. It looks cool but I just can't commit to it right now.

  6. After knitting all of those items for other people, you deserve something for yourself! The cardigan sounds like just the project. Although, each of these projects look like so much fun as well!

  8. I too love the Purple Haze. Can't wait to see it finished. Regarding the frilled dress, my vote is to keep it knitted up big and make adjustments as necessary. It is really pretty. Having seen the shawl in real life I can tell everybody how beautiful it is and that photographs, however good, do not give it fuil justice. Keep the 10-stitch for when feeling tired and no need to concentrate. xx
