Knitting - All about hats

It was a quiet weekend, eye tests - no change for me, more leaves cleared - though you'd not know it now......sigh, christmas puddings made, then as the rain fell relentlessly yesterday - knitting.

I am currently working on hats and made these since Friday,

Why I hear you ask?  Well...... my youngest has talked me into doing a knitwear sale for her friends so she will be hosting a coffee morning and having a knitwear sale.  Mainly hats, headbands, mittens and bootees for now with the possibility of taking orders for other items. My biggest worry is the pricing of said items, we did have a discussion on Facebook about this but it wasn't really that conclusive, I think it will be a case of suck it and see.  I realise that you can never put a price on your time, lets face it I would be knitting anyway, so as long as I cover the material costs I guess I'm happy to do it.  However if anyone out there has a tried and tested formula do share.

  2. Sunday was awful weather wasn't it. My DD came back from rugby absolutely coated in mud (DS' training was cancelled) and it took 3 washes to get her kit looking anything like normal ....

  4. I sometimes make a hat if I've some wool and an hour or two to spare and I put them aside for some event that can occur at my granddaughters school. Hey presto they were making up christmas parcels for the third world last month and out popped my hats. They were very pleased. Your hats look great and will be much appreciated, you're very clever, you make them up so quickly.
