Bury St Edmunds

Today we have enjoyed the market town of Bury St Edmunds.  We've not been for a while so decided to pay a visit as we had things to do in the area first thing.

No visit to Bury is complete without a visit to the abbey gardens and a walk around the grounds. Fortunately last nights storm hadn't spoiled the rose garden too much, and gave us some much needed rain, though we ended with a very hot and humid day.  We collected some goodies for a picnic and enjoyed some time in the shade people watching.

Joan this one is for you......

The rose garden....

On the way home to collected Jess from Claire and Max's wedding reception, leaving her mummy and daddy to have fun.... not expecting to see them too early tomorrow, not that we mind in the least.

  1. Thanks for the thought Sue! Martha's Vineyard is high on my bucket list, now even more so.
What an interesting day you've had. I might have to add Bury St.Edmunds my list too.

  2. We like Bury St Edmunds too, so many things to see there. It's not all about the shopping (though that is very nice) but there's lots of history and the lovely Abbey Gardens to admire. Glad you had a good day.
