Saturday picture post.... and good news

Friday - soda bread

Roast vegetable soup

February socks cast on
Windy walking - its a shame you can't actually see just how windy it is today.  At points pushing me over, and believe me that's not so easy these days!!

We woke this morning to a slightly leaning shrub, planning to sort it once we got home from our walk, but alas by the time we got in it was like this.  The shrub was obviously pot bound when it went into the ground and the roots were very shallow, so I'm surprised it stayed up as well as it did.  Its a shame as I liked this one and I had wanted to keep some the plants from the original garden, but Peter was more than happy to cut it down and put it through the shredder.  Still I now have a large spot in the border that will need filling.  Cue trip to the garden centre

And now onto the big news -  for the past year Rebecca, Tim and the boys have been taking part in the filming of series 2 of

Escape to the Chateau DIY, which goes out from next Monday 18th February.  Its on for 6 weeks, every week day at 5pm on Channel 4.  They will be featured from w/c 25th February.  To read Rebecca and Tim's news and share in the love for the chateau click on the picture below and it will take you to their Instagram page

Great socks, what yarn did you use? The bread and soup look very moreish, I quite like soda bread when it is a day old, I spit it in half cross ways and treat each half like a pizza base.Much quicker than making and rising dough and with tons more flavour.
