Autumn days

Last night, so pretty, big skies with no interruptions here

Last of the raspberries and strawberries from the potager made a couple of pots of jam today

Autumnal views, leaves are slowly starting to carpet the woods.  The lake surface has a coating too. Soon the leaf clearance will start in earnest, fortunately we will be home by then!

Working in the gardens this afternoon as the weather was fine, cutting and strimming grass, weeding borders in preparation of this weekend’s guests.

This week we have been clearing cupboards, sorting and planning.  Lists are getting ticked.  More to do. Finally work will start on the family side of the chateau over autumn/winter months.  It’s hoped that all the messy jobs will be done before Christmas! But like all diy jobs they always take much longer than you expect.

The new series of Chateau DIY started on Monday - it’s on for six weeks, every weekday afternoon, channel 4 at 4pm.  It’s available on catch-up.  Our family will be featuring again, 28 September, 4th, 14th, 25-27 October.
