the snow continued from around 10:30 this morning and hasn't stopped all day, not particularly heavy but enough to cover everything from yesterday and more besides.
Laurie and parents came to pick up Rufus. We had a family roast lunch, Rachel and Stu walked down to join us, then it was a case of shall we stay or shall we go for the Jones family. In the end they decided to go home and managed to get there safely.
Our visitor returned to the garden this afternoon, actually coming much closer to the barn this time
Our side patio which is fairly sheltered but as you can see still a fair amount of snow. What the chances of it all being gone by the morning drive to work?

Snow Saturday
Yesterday it snowed all afternoon, quite fine snow, so we didn't have too much but enough to satisfy a small boy (big one too).
After the snow, came the cushions - I had been smothered earlier, but luckily the camera was in the house!
Carpet picnic lunch and then a nap
Whilst he was asleep we had a visitor to the garden. Photos taken through glass so not the clearest, plus I had to keep very still as he sensed I was there

Cold...... oh yes
....after the snow came the freezing fog, after the freezing fog came pretty.
It was -8C when I went outside this morning, but the world looked so lovely, here are a few photos to share with you.
We are forecast another cold night and snow from 2pm tomorrow through to 6pm on Saturday evening!!!
Keep warm people. I have the wood burner going and a suet pudding steaming for dinner

Snow on snow.....
The old wives tale about "sitting snow is waiting for more" came true yesterday. We had a whole load more during the evening. We had still got a good covering in the garden from the weekend, though the roads and paths have been clear. We woke to a sunny winter wonderland. Thankful that we are still poorly and not going to work.
On the illness front, Rebecca is still feeling ill, totally exhausted and back in bed. Tim, doing ok. Me, doing ok and feeling much more human today. Peter, looks rubbish, its all on his chest and he is bringing up, well you just don't want to know!! Rachel has finally succumbed, bless her she called round yesterday with lemons, paracetamol, Lucozade, ginger cake and crumpets, much appreciated.
