Farewell to the Day Dream Believer

Today we say goodbye to Davy Jones.  My first school girl popstar crush.  I was 10 years old when the Monkees burst onto the UK pop scene and my heart was his for a number of years.  I met him several times when I was 15 and working at the local greyhound race track, he used to come in with some of the owners and I got to meet him.  He was very short!  By that time I had moved on to Rod Stewart.....
