WIP Wednesday

I started this WIP on a flight to the USA, no problem with getting my needles onto the flight, so I spent a pleasant journey just knitting away.

The USA trip was to meet with a couple of ladies I met on Ravelry, you can read about it here, here and here.

The pattern is from the latest issue of Simply Knitting issue 107 - 3 shawl supplement and the yarn is Boo's Attic Simply Darling Sock yarn which I dyed myself.  Its quite bright!!

I think I had a greasy mark on the lens of my camera!
Today's bargain from the charity shop was a copy of this book - for £2.00.  Some lovely patterns, I can see a few appearing on here soon.

Other works in progress would be the garden, for a look see go to Our Garden Page above.  most of the vegetable plants are now in and seem to be doing ok, though we do have a couple of sick looking tomato plants!

  1. Quite festive. Love the colors. The shawl is very similar to a pattern I found in Ravelry - Age of Brass and Steam. I found I can play with the garters, stockinette, YO's and even make a frilly edge by doubling the number of stitches at the end. Looks like you had fun with this one. ;-)

  2. Bright colors! I'll bet you received some complements during the trip. What good luck with the book too!
