or what I called Purple Haze is now completed.
Pattern: Aloha from Sublime 623
Size: 4-5 years
Yarn: King Cole Big Value DK
Overall I am happy with it, but after 2 days blocking I have a feeling the bottom will roll up. Two rows of garter stitch just wasn't enough. Oh well I'm sure once its been worn and washed a few times it won't matter!
Last night I finished another hat knitted in Regia Galaxy Saturn, pattern is Shibui Hat from the Sock Yarn One Skein Wonders - I had planned to make the socks that go with it but it turns out I don't own 2.25mm double pointed needles, so will knit the Touch of Folklore booties from Chic Knits for Stylish Babies
They're both beautiful, Sue. The sweater looks very cozy and warm.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful knitting:)
ReplyDeleteGreat knitting, I love the wee label!
ReplyDeleteThe cardigan is just lovely. I wonder if a couple of rows of crochet edge might not help at the bottom. If you can be bothered!
ReplyDeleteFor another lovely and similar cardigan I can recommend Sweet Peasy. It's fun to knit and super cute.
The hat is very pretty too.
WOW, that cardigan is beautiful, you're a blooming good knitter, I love it. One day, if I practice enough, maybe I'll be this good. xx
ReplyDeleteThe name is definitely apt! It is perfect for a happy little kid though. One of the things I particularly love about the yarn you used is the bit of sparkle (I can't tell if it is actually metallic), it really makes the sweater even more pretty. The hat is super cute too of course.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty cardigan! Deep purple is one of my favourite colours. The hat is adorable as well!
ReplyDeleteBoth knits have turned out extremely well but my favourite of the two is the Purple Haze. I like the tweedy yarn. A pity you are not happy with the bottom edge but you could add a crochet edging as Truly Myrtle suggests or pick up all round and add a few extra rows of garter stitch.
