November - keeping it quiet

It’s been a quiet day today. A gentle walk through the woods where Peter and Tim were dealing with yesterday’s fallen tree and down to the end of the drive to try and walk out the kinks. Some laundry for me, baking and meal prepping for Rebecca. We are both really feeling the effects of shovelling all that compost! Think we are all tired due to disturbed sleep from the aches and pains.

This tree still needs dealing with. Something for another time!

We have spent the afternoon watching tv and knitting (me) as it’s been raining so perfect excuse just to relax.

Tomorrow is our last day for sometime to come. The boys will be home as Wednesday is no school day. I think there is a plan to take out a few more small trees, this time just self sets which are in the wrong place and an orchard to plan out along with changes to the potager and cut flower beds. As I say there is always something to do here.

  1. Gosh, When you back home you won't be able to move!! Your poor body will be wrecked, but I know you and Peter love being there. What a wonderful help you've been to your daughter and her husband!! Safe trip home! xo
