November - autumn clean

Today we have set too and deep cleaned the Chateau kitchen. Rayburn swept ready for lighting tomorrow. Shelves cleared, washed down and redressed. Cobwebs brushed away and paintwork wiped. Glass cupboard sorted and contents washed. Copper pans shone. Swept and vacuumed floors. It’s been a busy day. The kitchen looks all spangly ready for a video tour on Instagram tomorrow lunchtime.

It was the perfect job for another wet and grey day, though just as we sat down to a well earned cup of tea the sun broke through and hopefully will stay for the next four days if the forecast is correct. Of course with the sun comes lower temperatures, hence the readying of the Rayburn.

Work goes on a pace in the gite, soon thoughts will be turning to decorating. Exciting times. Luckily they can get on during lockdown as they preempted this would happen and got in everything they thought they would need.

Hopefully I will be back out on leaf detail tomorrow, there is a whole lot of clearing to do since Saturday. Still it’s good exercise
