I spent a useful morning having a good sort out. I neatly bagged up the yarns, made sure I knew what ply they were and made sure each shelf only had that ply yarn. I went through (again) the yarn I was given
earlier this year and tried to be honest, "would I knit with this?" If it was no, then its going to someone who will. Lots of the ladies at knitting group knit for charity so its sure to get used. I can now open the cupboard doors and nothing falls out on me!!
I have four projects bagged with yarn and pattern, so if I get bored with
knitting that dress, then I can pick up something else. I also sorted my patterns and did the same. So now its all neat and tidy...... BUT I cannot justify buying anymore yarn for the foreseeable future
Isn't it a great feeling after you have sorted through stuff? I love your stash cupboard, and not that it has anything to do with this post, I also really love that quilt on your bed. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat work and a lovely selection of wool to choose from. I wish I had a spare cupboard.

ReplyDeleteI thought my mom was bad!
ReplyDeleteFewer things make me drool like stash. ( well organized even better!)
ReplyDeleteObviously my DD has noticed that.
Your stash cupboard looks great now, I really must go through mine and ditch some yarns I'll never use, I know I've got some!
