Walking the days away and a bit of knitting

This week has been perfect weather wise so far. Sunny and chilly at times but good walking weather.

My photographs are in reverse order again. So we will start with today.

This cardigan I started yesterday, it’s a quick knit and hopefully it will be done later. The pattern is a go to - Super Natural Stripes which you can find on Ravelry. I’m hoping the purple yarn holds out as there’s not much left. I may have to use some of the variegated on the ends of the sleeves.

We took a long walk today as you can see.  We didn’t actually start out to walk this far but once committed there was no point in turning back.  It was a good walk on the whole, very muddy in places but just about passable without getting too messy.

A pint or two in the Queens Head in Needingworth, the first one barely touched the sides!

Tuesday we did a 6.9 mile walk. The swans were very confused trying to work out how to get over the weir at the mill.  Kept swimming back and forth and poking theirs heads over the top.  It’s a long drop so why they didn’t just fly over I’ve no idea. Made us laugh anyway.

My Linus shawl is coming along.  I possibly won’t use all the odd balls of stashed sock yarn otherwise it will be huge.  I think there would be enough for another one at least.

Daffodils in the front border.

Monday we walked 4.3 miles into St Ives for a bit of shopping and the market coming back via the common. We sat for a while and enjoyed a coffee in the sun then spent the afternoon in the garden. Grass cut, edges trimmed and borders tidy

That’s our week so far. An easy day tomorrow, hairdressers and a friend coming over. So I will be able to give my feet a rest for a bit.

  1. I keep thinking my 3 miles a day is something to boast about. Then I read your blog.
