What a wonderful weekend we had weather wise, apart from the spot of rain on Saturday afternoon it was wall to wall sunshine - 25C in the shade. I spent two very pleasant afternoons in the garden with my knitting. A reward for jobs achieved earlier in the day.
As previously mentioned I didn't sleep well on Sunday night/Monday morning so cast on another Super Natural Stripes. This colour combination reminds me of ice cream. I decided to make this one with short sleeves and think it works really well. I just knitted 4 rows in stocking stitch, then 4 rows garter stitch. This is a great pattern, very quick to do. I think this will be my "go to" pattern
Someone else enjoyed the sunshine yesterday -
The sunshine has also bought the Wisteria on too, still lots of buds to break, but we are dull/cooler today (good thing as I was at work, nothing worse than being shut in when the sun is out), so it will slow things down.
I still have two WIP's on the go, but neither a doing it for me, so plan to cast on something new, lets face it I have plenty of stash to get through.
The sweater turned out beautifully (and you did it so quickly!). Hope that sun sticks around.
ReplyDeleteCute Cardi! It does look ice-creamy, I hope you are sleeping better now :) (perhaps like the cat!)
ReplyDeleteThe color combo in the cardigan is reminiscent of ice cream! After I read it, I couldn't shake the thought of it.
ReplyDeleteWow, that was a fast knit! Beautiful job! And your kitty looks like the type you can cuddle up with :)
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely cardi, I've just queued it!
