Purple Haze

I have been so busy with the garden this week that I really haven't had much time for knitting.

I cast on Aloha - Sublime #623 which I am knitting in King Cole Double Knit for a 4 year old, as you can see I haven't managed to get a whole lot done.

The cardigans knitted over the last few weeks are on their way to my niece.  Hope her and her mummy like them.

I have plans to knit a shawlette using the yarn I dyed last year.  The pattern I am going to use is a supplement in this months' Simply Knitting.  This will be one of those projects to pop in my bag to while away the odd times you find yourself with nothing to do on a journey or quiet moment.

To complement the knitting, the garden has taken on shades of purple too.....

The borders are bursting with life and the gaps of a few weeks ago have now filled in

The vegetable plants are now in the ground, fingers crossed that we don't get another cold snap.  My pots are planted up, but I still have the hanging baskets to do, they will have to wait a bit longer..........................I have other things to do (-:

  1. you have a lovely garden! I live near the woods so mine is wild and unkempt. My knitting has slowed as well with kids coming home for visits and being busy!

  3. Wow! I don't know which is prettier...your knitting and yarns or your flower gardens! Both are just gorgeous! I've never knit a sweater but maybe this Fall I'll get brave! LOL! And who is that gorgeous little baby one of your other posts below....how precious.
