WIP Wednesday #16

Who would have thought it, I now have 3 WIP's on the go, getting into bad habits. While waiting to find some more yarn to complete cardigan #4, I have knitted up a couple of hat and scarf combos for my grandson and done a few rounds on the old ten stitch.

I finally received said ball of yarn yesterday, so just the last sleeve to finish tonight then sew up.  I'll have enough yarn for a matching hat then I must get them posted off.  Baby is due at the end of the month, but who knows it may come earlier. Nothing much to report otherwise so see you next week.

Update - Garden room and on my needles

No glass delivered yesterday.
Odd jobs done.
Bit more staining also done.

Work progresses slowly on the ten-stitch blanket, its getting heavy and makes my wrists ache so to relieve the pressure I am knitting up at Short Row Scarf its a free Lion Brand pattern and I'm using Sirdar Supersoft aran in a soft sage green, as usual photos when I'm finished

Thursday pm - no glass delivered today, so not looking like Neil will finish tomorrow )-:

Diverted again...

instead of getting on with my work in progress, remember the something for me! I got side tracked into another project, a birthday present to be precise.  A scarf for my Mum, who has her birthday on Thursday.  I'd been wearing my scarf when visiting last week and she admired it so I decided to whip one up for her as part of her present, I also made a matching corsage to pin it with. Hope she likes it........

Its back to work tomorrow, can't believe 10 days has passed so quickly, such a shame, I'd really got into the routine of including knitting as part of my afternoon, feet up, cup of tea, oh well............

Busy needles

Lots coming off the needles at the moment.

I finished my 28's cousin 53 scarf, will upload a pic when I take one in decent light.

Loads of Innocent Smoothie bottle hats for Age Concern, Rachel and I are off to a Knit In this evening to hand them over and knit some more. Will take my camera and get some photos of that too.

A Rugby romper suit for Rufus to match the cardigan I knitted for Beck, though this has multi striped cuffs and collar to add a bit of bright.

 So busy busy busy............

Travelling Woman

Travelling Woman , originally uploaded by sspeechley.
used my time off yesterday to good use even if I was feeling rubbish, got this finished last night.

Now on to my list of items for Rufus

All over for another year .......

Christmas day has come and gone, we had a good time, lots of lovely presents, too much to eat, lots of leftovers. The snow left, so no white Christmas, but by the sound of the forecast we may get a white new year.

Just off my needles is this cute young lady - Jessica Rabbit, I'm quite pleased with her, but maybe she could have had a bit more stuffing

Made this for Rachel - a pocketed scarf

My next project is to finish off a WIP, its been hanging around for a while, a pram blanket in petal squares, easy enough but because its squares easy to put away to another day! However, I plan not to have any WIP's this coming year and to finish all projects before starting another, I've got into some bad habits. The stash busting is well underway, as long as I can keep away from the yarn sales.

Off to make a drink and maybe get a mince pie....

Matching set....

as the weather was so awful I spent the afternoon knitting, well actually it had finished raining by the time I sat down, but that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. I knitted for myself a slouchy beret and matching moebius - twisted scarf for those that don't know. They look very good, Peter took a picture to prove it but I look so awful, tired and no makeup, that I won't post it here, so I'll put a picture up when I look better, you could be waiting some considerable time! I had never knitted a moebius before and was chuffed with my first attempt at a three needle cast off, very neat.

Decided to post a picture without me in it!!
