I've been keeping a secret

for the last 7 weeks I have been harbouring a secret.  Its been so hard to keep quiet but finally I can break the silence and tell the world that we have another grandbaby on the way.

Baby Jones #2 - due on or around 31 July.

A brother or sister for Rufus - we will have to wait to find out which.  If this baby is half as lovely as our little man we will be more than happy.

Saturday morning........

and for those of you that said Baby Jones would come on Friday, well you were wrong, me included! Lets see if the people that suggested changes in the moon would bring it today will be right.

The Poles have arrived bright and early and are taking down the wonky wall, lets hope they put it back straight this time.  Peter has conveniently gone out so left me to have words.  Trouble is they are so nice I find myself apologising for the incovenience, when really its "well you knocked it down in the first place so we really only want it put back like it was". Guess I was just bought up to be polite.

Going to visit the parents-in-waiting this afternoon to take them some plants for their garden and to help relieve the boredom of waiting.

Ethereal waistcoat is now finished and blocking, so when its dry I'll photograph it and post, so pleased with it I'm making myself another one in a soft heather colour.  Not often I knit for me, but I won't start it until I have the Sands Appeal blanket finished.

Right off the glare through the window at the workers......................... and maybe offer them a coffee

Crazy Love...

On Friday we are off to the NIA in Birmingham to see the lovely Michael Buble, to say I'm excited is an understatement.  If this show is as good as the one I saw at the O2 a few years back then we are in for a good night.  Both daughters are coming with us and I'm hoping that Baby Jones doesn't decide to put in an early appearance!

A full report of the event will follow

Baby - update

I realise I've been quiet on the baby front lately.

Baby J is now 28 weeks along and I am going with Mummy J for her 28 week scan on Friday, very exciting as I'll get to see the scan first hand, hopefully get to hear the heartbeat too if I'm good.  The weeks are going very fast it seems, though not for Mummy J I'm sure.

I have been watching One Born Every Minute to prepare myself for the birth - I've cried every week so far, I'm a hopeless case.  I'm sure I'll be alright on the night though! I just hope the baby gives me plenty of notice of its arrival, I certainly hate to miss it.

I knew there was a problem

today I have been to Ely hospital for someone to finally look at my neck problem.

After months of being told go away and put up with it. ££££'s spent on osteopaths, acupuncture and Bowen technique I have been seen by someone that was interested. After a lengthy chat she got me to do various exercises to which my neck responded badly, to a point where there was an audible clunk, she said "what on earth was that", I said "that was my neck!!!" She said "that is seriously wrong". So I have had 3 x-rays, she will phone me Monday after the consultant has seen them and advise what the problem is. Basically the large muscles front and back of my neck are guarding an injury, what it is she's not sure as apart from a bad pull on the ab cruncher I've not done anything else, as in no accidents/whiplash. I may have to have my neck immobilised before things can be put right, we didn't go into details on that until they are sure whats wrong! So watch this space.

On my needles - just finished another pram blanket in blues, pattern chosen by Peter, so possibly for Baby Jones if his mummy to be likes it (she wants a blue pram so not an indication on the sex of the baby).

I will be making some sample squares and basic knitting instructions/patterns for a Youth knitting group we are starting in the new year and apart from that not sure what to knit next. I have loads of yarn to use, I am on an self-inforced no yarn buying programme at present and need to clear some out before the January sales!!!!
