Colourful day

Photos are in reverse order for the day. I’m guessing that blogger just decided that would be how to present them!

Roses peeking through the fence

Pop of orange in the churchyard

Philadelphus scenting the lane

The following were taken around the Marsh Lane lakes in the village

Bee orchid

Pyramidal orchid

Common Centurary - from the gentian family

Honeysuckle, so many varieties around the lakes, the air was heavy with scent

Dog rose

Teasel

Common spotted orchid

Bramble flowers in different shades

Then the cat mats are finished. I will hold on to the top one as Fred has been missing for 10 days …..

A visit first thing to the farmers market, so many lovely fresh vegetables to pick from. Excited to try the purple cauliflower

It’s just as well us Brits take the weather forecast with a pinch of salt - rain and thunderstorms were the forecast, we had dull/humid/sun - dinner in the garden in brilliant sunshine - crazy days
