What day is it? I must admit I have been struggling these last few days. With the normal markers to the week moved it can get confusing, or am I just getting old?
The weather has been pants mainly. Grey and dismal skies apart from yesterday afternoon when we saw the sun for a short while.
Of course we have walked, just can’t stay in unless it’s tipping it down
Tuesday, Rachel and the children came over and we headed out after lunch to feed the swans and ducks. Of course, we’d just got to the river when it started to rain again!
As you can see we got wet. The children didn’t seem to mind too much.
Wednesday as I said we saw the sun. Decided on Wellington boots so we could walk the meadows, wet and muddy in places. We managed 5.6 miles which wasn’t too bad but walking boots would have been more comfortable.
Today, I caught up on the washing and even got it pegged out as it was breezy, though didn’t dry completely. We walked 4.2 miles today along the riverbank on Hemingford meadow to St Ives, we had to climb a fence on the last part as the meadow was flooded near the exit. I’m sure it amused the man who was watching out the window of the hotel.
No fishing today!
