A second from me

After so much grey it was wonderful to get out into the sunshine this afternoon.  We walked out of the village over the old and new A14 towards Hilton. That took us an hour so rather than get caught on the road back into the village in the dusk we turned round and walked back. Getting home just as the sun was starting to dip into the horizon.

Winter wheat is pushing through the ploughed fields, they don’t leave the ground long to recover these days

The traffic on the new A14 is crazy, so many cars and trucks heading who knows where, rushing. I’m so glad I no longer have to travel into work along this road.  Though it at least moves so much quicker since the upgrade.

The picture above was taken to try and show all the spider webs that were strung across the field, that silvery path is web.  The spiders have certainly been busy

Back on the footpath away from the road for the final leg of our journey home. Six miles walked and plenty of fresh(ish) air

Sun going down on a beautiful day
