October - day 15

Today will be photo heavy. I make no apologies. We decided to head to the coast regardless of the fact that it was raining when we left home. We drove through various rain storms arriving in Hunstanton to brooding grey skies. Within minutes it was pouring. Unperturbed we walked out under umbrellas and before long it stopped and we were blessed with blue skies and sunshine for a while.

We enjoyed a walk amongst the rock pools and a beach walk to Old Hunstanton where we stopped for a hot chocolate. We surprised how many people were about but it was easy to keep out of everyone’s way.

By the time we got back into Hunstanton the sun had disappeared and the skies were dark again. A quick  walk along the High Street and a stop to collect fish and chips before the heavens opened again. We managed to get undercover to eat our late lunch which were great. Nothing like fresh fish and chips by the sea.

A wet drive home, sunshine and heavy showers sweeping across the Fenland fields. Beautiful rainbows but nowhere to stop for a photo.

All in all a lovely day out and it was great to be by the sea again. We are lucky to be within 2 hours of the Norfolk and Suffolk coasts.
