October - day 25

This month really can’t make up its mind what it’s doing weather wise. We’ve had a lovely day today, though it is now raining. We managed to get all our gardening jobs completed. That’s weeding, bulb planting, lavender cut back and grass cut. So very satisfying. We even managed a walk and a pint in the sunshine. Pretty ok Sunday.

There’s a joint to beef roasting in the oven along with a pan of root vegetables. There will be Yorkshire puddings and gravy too. I think we deserve it.

We are pleased with our walking this past week, clocking up 24.5 miles since last Sunday. Not too shabby and now I don’t feel so bad about eating cake!

I hope you have had an enjoyable weekend. It’s surprising what you can find to do when you have too. Right back to my knitting, no puzzling has been done today so far, though a fresh one has been selected
