October - day 24

We have just enjoyed a prawn redang Thai curry with rice and a long gin and tonic. It’s been a funny day. We set out for a walk whilst the grass dried off so that we could come back and work in the garden. Half way round our walk the heavens opened, this was not in the forecast. We managed to complete our walk without getting too wet and it eased off for a bit and then once home it has rained and blown a gale for the rest of the day.

Not too much of a worry we had another puzzle to complete and my shawl to finish.

Our walk was around the local lakes again, unfortunately they are restarting the gravel extraction on the end of the site so a third of the walk is blocked off. Still a good walk but you have to backtrack on yourself each way.

Puzzles from yesterday and today. Both are 500 piece ones. On to the 1000 piece ones tomorrow.

The Linus shawl is finished. I’m pretty chuffed as this yarn made the hat and cowl for Gus and the shawl, there is a small amount of each left and cost the princely sum for about £4. I’m now going to finish my ten stitch extension before starting anything else ....... promise
