Lockdown 3 - day 66

It’s been a wild and windy day today. A mix of sunshine/winds and rain/gales. We went out this morning after a rough night. The wind was howling around the house, garden chairs tipped over, and rain banging against the windows but we woke to sunshine.

My photos today are in reverse order so we have my amaryllis whose second stem is sporting four flower heads. It really is spectacular. All I have done to it is water it, nothing else, obviously likes it’s kitchen window sill position.

Clouds scudding across the sky. Fortunately we didn’t get wet on our 6 mile walk but we did look very wind swept!

My ten stitch blanket progress, I did actually nod off last night whilst knitting

So some good news this afternoon - light at the end of the tunnel. France is lifting its travel ban on the UK and six other countries. Which is great but it will be another 10 weeks before we are allowed to leave the UK, and only then if all Boris’ criteria are met. It seems so near yet still so far. Let’s hope that by then some of the requirements will have changed as currently they want a negative Covid test to enter France, then two Covid tests and quarantine to come back into the UK. At around £100 per test, each, it’s going to put the price of your trip up quite substantially
